About

Hi! I’m Casey, and I love to cook and share my food with my family and friends, but sometimes balancing a crazy schedule and finding time to feed myself and my fiance Russell seems pretty impossible. Enter this blog: a place to share my recipes and tips for feeding yourself and your family and friends tasty eats.

I have been obsessed with food and cooking for as long as I can remember–I used to watch Julia Child right after Sesame Street on PBS (followed by Yan Can Cook!). I collect cookbooks, watch way too much of the Food Network, and am always looking for a new technique to try. I could eat pasta, burgers, fried rice and ice cream on rotation for the rest of my life.

I’ve lived in Dallas for most of my life, and because of that I have a healthy appreciation for Tex-Mex and barbecue. I drink too much coffee and local craft beer. I spent a few years in Columbus, Ohio and grew up in a family of Midwesterners-turned-Texans, so sometimes my food reflects that too.

When I’m not cooking, I spend a lot of time with my fiance and our dog, or I’m hanging out with my family or friends. You’ll find me posting a lot of food you could eat while sitting on your couch watching sports (especially college football) or movies, because, well, I do that. A lot.

Thanks for visiting!
